Our usual corporate dress attire is changing at The McIntyre Group - in support of a very good cause!

McIntyre is participating in a volunteer project sponsored by The Corporate Volunteer Council (CVC) of the Valley United Way. This project provides new school clothes and supplies to underprivileged children living in the five town CT Valley area. We are currently raising donations to sponsor two children and purchase clothing and school supplies for them. The items will be distributed to the children one week before school starts. Our McIntyre CVC reps will have the opportunity to meet our “adopted” children and personally present them with their items. The hope of the Council is that new school clothes will boost the child’s self-esteem, reduce truancy problems due to peer pressure with respect to clothing and show them that the community cares. We wish to create warm, positive childhood memories for these needy children and make going to school a positive experience. Our McIntyre employees wearing denim on Fridays this summer are showing their support for this volunteer project.

Haylee’s favorite colors are pink and purple. She loves the characters from High School Musical and Hello Kitty. She will be starting First Grade in the fall.

 

 

Tyler’s favorite colors are red and orange. He likes Star Wars and Ben 10. He will be entering Fourth Grade in the fall.
