Success Stories At the beginning of the year, we had to hire over 100 employees at our headquarters as a result of a corporate relocation. Although we reached out to several recruiting firms in the area, I had the best luck with The McIntyre Group. While it seemed that some of the other firms were just sending over resumes, qualified or not, The McIntyre Group’s candidates were always qualified. At times, it became very difficult to choose from among those they sent over!
Additionally, they took the time to come to our offices, meet some of our people and gauge the environment their candidates would be working in. This allowed them to accurately represent to their candidates what kind of a place they would be working in. I would highly recommend utilizing their services.

I was just another desperate jobseeker in the midst of a terrible economy with not a job prospect in sight when I heard about McIntyre. I wondered if I should have stayed in school to get another degree to saddle myself with some more student loans that I couldn't pay. I even went back to waitressing just to get enough money to cover the bills.
A friend of mine who started out with McIntyre and became quite successful through their efforts referred me. When I was being interviewed at the local office I hesitantly started out with the same line as most people, "..and as you can see, my qualifications make me a great candidate for your agency." I quickly realized the ludicrousness of that statement, being that at the time executives were taking data entry jobs –Honestly, how qualified was someone barely out of college going to compete with that? But I went for the gusto figuring I had nothing to lose and sounded like something out of "The Devil Wears Prada," with, " I can work with difficult people well. I may not know much right now, but I'm a quick learner and a hard worker." I figured that may have worked, because my interviewer started scribbling furiously at that point and said she thought I had some great skills that would work well for them.
For about a year, I was exposed to many different types of departments as I canvassed my side of the world as Super temp Extraordinaire, able to file piles of paperwork in minutes, able to organize folders in a single bound. I worked in a Marketing department where I single handedly maneuvered 16 tiki torches upstairs with the engineering marvel of taking a mail cart, emptying it out, and toting everything up and down the elevator. I put in a filing system for one manager, who afterwards flipped through the files like she was thumbing through rows of cashmere sweaters at Neiman Marcus as she sighed and exclaimed, "They're so pretty!" One manager tested me by giving me a moderate sized stack of files and asked me to put them in ascending order. I knew very well what she was doing but didn't realize the consequences. The next day she sent stacks of banker's boxes down for me to file. I figured I was the resident miller's daughter and nearly contemplated aloud the ethical dilemma of trying to find Rumpelstiltskin and offering to trade in my firstborn child to get through it all.
I pleaded with my McIntyre Staffing Manager to try to find me a regular full time job. She came back to me not long after and said, I'm sending you on an assignment in an HR department. They didn't say they were looking for temp to perm, but it could be a good opportunity for you. I think you are perfect for HR!" I landed the assignment since I had helped out in other HR departments. Immediately seeing my capabilities, they put me right to work in the thick of things and HIRED me permanently three months later. I have been there ever since.
I help people find solutions to their problems. I listen to stories about their work and life. They are kind enough to share everything from their laughter to their tears with me and I thank them for entrusting me with their deepest emotions. I honestly care about the wellbeing of other people. I am never bored. I'm not sure if I would have ever gotten into this field if I had not gone to work for McIntyre.
I was recently relocated to the Bay area in California, and I love it. I'm glad I had the opportunity to stay in the same organization, even though I am on the opposite coast.
Thanks for everything McIntyre!

Let me introduce you to Sarah. Combine an enjoyable disposition with professionalism and you get Sarah. She is always available to listen to your concerns and is willing to share her advice. She has a way of getting to know you that truly makes you feel like she cares about you, the individual, and not just about filling that job opening. Working with Sarah has been a pleasure that began on the day we first met.
After I finished my freshman year of college, I returned home to begin my search for a summer job. I was looking for a way to get a taste of the business world, so I registered with McIntyre and interviewed with Sarah. When I walked out of her office that day she promised she would find something for me. Well, I didn’t even reach my front door before the phone rang and Sarah was on the line explaining my first assignment.
At the beginning of my time with McIntyre I worked in several different organizations, which allowed me to gain experience and network throughout the business world. Sarah does an excellent job of matching the personality and skills of the individual to the work environment and position available at the company.
A few weeks later that same summer my phone rang again and it was Sarah, excited because she had the perfect job for me. The woman I’d be working with, Sarah said, was wonderful and was convinced that I would love the job. She couldn’t have been more accurate. The job was a perfect fit and I worked for that company not only for the following two summers, but I received an internship with them and went on to accept a full-time position after graduation.
Beyond the job, Sarah has helped me structure my resume to make it appealing to the clientele I am trying to contact. The jobs themselves, with much thanks to Sarah, have helped enhance the business experience portion of my resume. She gladly remains on that resume as one of my professional references. She has kept in contact with me through the years, always checking up to see how I’m doing. I am thankful to have met Sarah that summer afternoon 4 years ago.
Upon getting to know Sarah, I can guarantee you will feel the same way.
Good luck in your job search,
Ailene Janeczek
